Fantastic
This book is great as a bedtime book for infants as well as toddlers. My 17 month old son just loves this one. He gets soooo excited when he sees me grab it to read it to him right before I put him down for the night. It's part of our ritual for putting him to bed. I strongly recommend this one!!

Teddy's Busy Night (Wee Pudgy Board Book)
Published in Hardcover by Grosset & Dunlap (September, 1993)
Authors: Amy Flynn and Miniature Book Collection
Average review score:

The Perfect Infant Book
Our whole family has this book memorized! What makes this book especially fun are the exclamations sprinkled throughout such as; "Shhh!", "Mmm!", "Wee!", "Beep, beep" and "Uh-oh!" Both my children chanted these words when we reached the appropriate pages before they even really learned to talk. Furthermore, the story of a Teddy Bear coming to life at night is sweet and captures the imagination. When I first received this book as a gift I was not that enthusiastic as it was not a familiar "classic" But it has since become our family treasure and I would like to pass this book on to anyone with a toddler - if only it was still in print.

Ten Bears Go Marching...: A Pop-Up Counting Book
Published in Hardcover by Hyperion Press (September, 1996)
Author: John Richardson
Average review score:

Well illustrated with lots of details of a familar tune
The beautifully illustrated watercolor book gives an interesting slant to the well know tune of "The bears go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah". They roll, juggle, leap, etc. on to the school bus accompanied by relatively complex pull the tabs actions, lift the flaps, etc. There are many interesting details on every page, buses, balls, bunnies, flowers, turtles. Bears are not the only animal kids, there are also elephant kids, pig kids, lion kids, etc.

I bought the book for my 7 month old because the lift flaps/pull tabs were sophisticated. Five months later, it is her favorite. She not only rocks to the rhythm of the book but she is already telling me the bears hop, dance, marching, roll, etc. as she turns the pages. I am considering buying another one since it is starting to wear down from abuse of a 13 month old handling and reading it several times a day (and more if I permitted her), everyday, for five months.

Spell binder for preschoolers
I teach preschoolers and they ask for this book over and over again. The catchy rhyming rythmn seems to be pleasing to them. The pictures are adorable and the story takes them along on the adventure with "The Bear".

sweet story with great illustrations
I was disappointed to read the review listed with the book. My 4 year old daughter brought this home from the school library and we both loved it so much I tried to buy it, but it is out of print. The illustrations are adorable and it's a great book to lead up to Christmas.

Three Cheers for Pooh: The Best Bear in All the World
Published in Hardcover by Dutton Books (October, 2001)
Authors: Brian Sibley and Ernest Shepard
Average review score:

A magnificent, timely tribute.
This lovely publication commemorates the 75th anniversary of the publication of "Winnie-the-Pooh." It's not a storybook -- it's a sort of "biography" of Winnie-the-Pooh, the Milne family, and Ernest Shepard. The book has lots of interesting trivia for Pooh-ophiles like me and lots of quotes from the Milne stories and verse, as well as beautiful prints of some of the well-known and lesser-known Shepard illustrations. I'm not sure why the book was designed as oversize. This is a lovely, well done book that's going to have a permanent place on my shelf next to my beloved Pooh books. I love it.
